Abstract | |||
The overall objective of the US Military Cancer Institute (USMCI) and the National Cancer Institute (NCI) collaborative program is to conduct cancer surveillance and epidemiologic research among the military population to provide insights into the causes of cancer and the means of prevention. Specifically, the USMCI and NCI will collaboratively use military health databases and serum banks to investigate the occurrence and risk factors for cancer in the military and to target scientifically important questions that may be difficult to test in other populations. |
